Issued PIPC ruling in investigation Rye & Catchers Co., Ltd for breach of the Personal Information Act
On 12 April 2023, the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) issued its ruling in the investigation into Rye & Catchers Co., Ltd., a data technology company, imposing a fine of KRW 6 million for violations of the Personal Information Protection Act. In particular, the PIPC found that Rye & Catchers Co., Ltd. didn't obtain the legal representative's consent when collecting the personal information of children under the age of 14.
