Issued PIPC ruling in investigation into Zeta Media Co., Ltd. for breach of the Personal Information Act

On 12 April 2023, the Korean Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) issued its ruling in the investigation into Zeta Media Co., Ltd., an online marketing service provider, imposing a fine of KRW 9.51 million for violations of the Personal Information Protection Act. In particular, the PIPC found that Zeta Media Co., Ltd. didn't obtain the legal representative's consent when collecting the personal information of children under the age of 14.
